Southern Heritage is a unique group of talented musicians presenting a blend of music and styles unparalleled in the Stateline area.

Helmed by our Lead Vocalist and Rythm Guitarist, Andy Boan, Southern Heritage presents a mix of Country stylings from the classic artistry to modern interpretations of a variety of favorites.

Our rhythm section is driven by veteran bassist and vocalist, Russ Davis. Russ brings his years of experience from RAMI Hall Fame Country Band, Slick Nickel, and is a solid addition to Southern Heritage!

Our newest addition, Christine "Chrissy" Dougherty, add's a whole new variety of music to Southern Heritage. Already a veteran of the music business after starting out with local and regional act, Night Shift, Chrissy adds her Powerful Lead Vocals to an already solid act.

Drawing on his years of Country music experience in and around the Rockford area with his father's regionally well-known band, our drummer and vocalist, Brian Thompson, has successfully entertained the Stateline area in numerous nightclubs and festivals, and has brought a new diversity to our Country music scene by incorporating tunes from a wide variety of genres.

Our lead guitarist Mike Gosnell is an artist and guitar teacher with a rich history of collaboration with local and major Country acts. His diverse knowledge is a major contributor in our ability to cover a wide variety on songs both old and new.

For over a decade, Southern Heritage has astutely interpreted crowd-pleasing songs by artists like Merle Haggard, Travis Tritt, Brooks and Dunn, Van Halen, The Commodores, Toby Keith, Buck Owens, Roy Orbison, Alan Jackson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban, Dierks Bentley, and Big and Rich. Southern Heritage flows effortlessly from Classic Country to Southern Rock to Blues to Soul and back again. We are comfortable in a multitude of venues and have performed in everything from Rockford's area nightclubs to such festivals as On The Waterfront, The Great Chili Shoot-out, Old Settler's Days and Rockin' Ribfest.
